your part is in stock. If your item is back ordered or it is special order we will call you first. Shipping is calculated by your
zip. (we ship ups) We ship from the warehouse closest to you that has the item in stock.
RETURN POLICY: You can return any* new and unopened product to us for a period 30 days from date of purchase
shipping paid. If we made a mistake in the part number you may exchange the part for the correct one or receive a full
refund of the purchase price, as long as it is received at our warehouse within 30 days from the original date of sale.
Customer supplied part numbers that are wrong will be charged a 20% restock charge less shipping and issued a  store
credit. (if you have any question on your part# please call first, we are glad to help and would like to get you the right part
the first time)
Any item which proves to be defective within the first 30 days from the date of sale will be replaced to you at no charge.
After 30 days, the manufacturers warranty applies please contact the appropriate Manufacturer for instructions.
We're sorry but we cannot accept used items for credit or refund.
Items damaged in shipping should be directed to the carrier not us. You should not accept damaged packages.
Items damaged in any way will not be refundable!

*Special orders, opened computer software or videotapes, electronics, electrical parts, charts, and data cards
are not returnable, some opened items are returnable less 20% (case by case) All canceled orders are subject to a 15%
cancellation fee.

Returns will not be accepted after 30 days from the date of sale.

All credit card transactions that are disputed, and then  found to be in our favor, WILL be charged an administration fee of
$85.00 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum!

If you would like to return an item please call 888-426-2841. for a Return Authorization Number, before sending the item
back. Tell us what item you wish to return, reason for the return, date of purchase. We will give an RA number, UPS will
pick up the package.
All return requests must be done via phone, no returns will be handled until an RA number has been assigned. This
number MUST be marked clearly on the outside of the shipping box.
Returns received without a Return Authorization number will be refused.
All refunds will be by check, NOT credit card! Most refunds will be made in three day's.

No refunds on used parts, drives or used engines, sold as is. They are tested before they leave, and worked then, or you
were told what was wrong with them. Hidden damage "MAY" be eligible for an in store credit (to be determined on a case
by case basis)
Engine warranties vary from MFG to MFG and type of engine.
They range from 30days to 3 years, some are conditional and some are unconditional. Please request a copy of the
warranty for your engine before purchasing. Warranty information is supplied with all engines where applicable. By
clicking I agree you state you have read the warranty for your engine.
We will exchange any new item which proves to be defective within the first 30 days from the date of sale at no charge
provided you first ship the defective item back to our warehouse postage paid. After 30 days, the manufacturers warranty
applies please contact the appropriate manufacturer for instructions. All engines and drives must be installed by a
certified marine mechanic, receipt of paid bill as proof. All fuel injected engines must be installed by a certified FEE. Marine
mechanic. Proof of installation must be returned no later than 10 days after installation signed by the certified mech. With
a copy of his certification. NO warranty claims on engines will be considered without this.
All rebuilt sterndrives are sold with a 90 day warranty from date of purchase for pleasure boaters. For commercial
applications, a 30 day warranty from date of purchase. (Commercial use is defined as any work or employment related
use of the product, or any use of the product which generates income, for any part of the warranty period, even if the
product is only occasionally used for such purposes). The boat store warranties each unit to be free from defect in
material and workmanship.
This warranty does not cover routine maintenance items, adjustments, normal wear and tear, damaged caused by abuse,
abnormal use, use of a propeller or gear ratio that does not allow the engine to run in its recommended RPM range,
operation of the product in a manner inconsistent with recommended operation, neglect, accident, improper installation,
improper service and break in, operation with oils or lubricants which are not suitable for use with the product, alteration
or removal of parts, damage to the product due to insufficient cooling water caused by blockage by a foreign body or
running the unit out of the water. Use of the product for racing or other competitive activity, or operating with a racing type
lower unit, at any point voids the warranty. (No drive shall be warranted if  used above it's rated HP. New or rebuilt)
Reasonable access must be provided for warranty service. Expenses related to haul-out, launch, towing, storage,
telephone, rental, inconvenience, slip fees, insurance coverage, loan payments, loss of time, loss of income, or any other
type of incidental or consequential damages are not covered by this warranty. Claim shall be made under this warranty by
delivering the product for inspection to The Boat Store. Customer is responsible for any related transportation or shipping
costs. If service is not covered by the warranty, the customer is responsible for all related parts, labor, and any other
expenses associated with that service. Our obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing the
defective part(s).    The limited warranty specified herein and all rights and claims of user or buyer hereunder, must be
enforced in the state of MA. Venue for the enforcement of this agreement and for the resolution of any disputes between
THE BOAT STORE and it's buyers or users including all suits shall be adjudicated in Essex county Ma. In the event the
buyer asserts any claim against THE BOAT STORE,  Under this warranty or other. In the event such claims are not resolved
directly between the parties, then all such claims shall be subject to non-binding mediation in Essex county Ma. As a
condition precedent to buyer asserting any legal action against THE BOAT STORE. Said mediation shall be conducted by a
certified mediator under the laws of the state of Massachusetts. Each party shall pay an equal share of the cost of the
mediation.  This mediation shall be a condition precedent to the filling of any legal action or lawsuit, and the terms of this
agreement shall be enforceable by any court or competent judge.
Unopened item within 30 days from the date of sale as well. Please call for a "Return
Authorization" number before sending any item back. Credit cards placed on file for boat work, will be kept on file, and you
authorize the boat store to charge your card anytime you authorize us (by phone or in person)  to do repairs to your vessel!
Your card may be run for approval before any work is done. All labor and parts are warranted for 30 days.  As of 9/1/05
ALL returns will be issued a call tag from us. The amount of shipping will be deducted from your refund or store
credit. No returned items will be accepted without OUR call tag & RA number!
